Vacation doesn’t have to start when you arrive.

Take the winding road instead of the highway. Stop at the quirky roadside market, scenic overlook or little town you’ve driven past a dozen times. Find a shady park and stretch everyone’s legs.

Windows cracked. Ears flying. Nose working overtime. A winding road disappearing through the trees. No particular hurry.

Do Something They Can’t Do at Home

This is the heart of the weekend.

Run full-speed down a wide sandy beach with nobody yelling about the flower beds. Splash into a cool blue lake. Follow a wooded trail scattered with leaves. Choose one experience for the weekend that you wouldn’t normally do at home.

And somebody chooses one for the dog.

Do the Vacation Things Together
